On the 19 of January, it was Martin Luther King Jr. Day. I learned that Dr. King was born on Jan. 15, 1929 and was killed on April 4, 1929. I knew That his speech inspired many Americans. We watched his famous “I Have A Dream” speech and even made our own!:) Mine started out like this, I have a dream that all countries shall not fight… To hear the whole speech click below.

The first thing we did for our New Year Party was play a game called Miner Millionaire. One question was: Who started the mining town of Fayette in the Garden Peninsula? Answer: Fayette Brown. The next thing we did was get our snacks and move our desks for the movie. The movie was called “The Polar Express”. The movie was great! Then we went out for recess.
